Diverse Living Devon: Autism & ADHD Support North Devon

for adults, young people, families & children in Devon

We work with neurodivergent adults, families & children aged 7+ who are autistic, ADHD, or AuDHD. You do not need a formal diagnosis—or even know exactly what’s going on—to deserve deep understanding, safety, and support. We are here to help you or your young person feel more confident, more connected, and fully able to flourish on your own terms.

How we work

We look at the whole picture, understanding what’s getting in the way, what’s working well and what can be adapted.

Our support focuses on helping individuals and families build strategies that truly fit their lives. This might include areas such as sensory regulation, executive functioning, anxiety, self-esteem, daily routines, relationships communication or learning.

We work collaboratively to create practical, compassionate solutions that promote confidence, connection and long term growth.

Wordy Wednesdays

There’s a lot of complex language around neurodivergence, mental health, and education. Acronyms. Labels. Professional jargon that can easily feel confusing, overwhelming, or even clinical.

Wordy Wednesdays is all about making that language fully accessible. Not to dictate how anyone should think or identify—but to explain exactly what these words mean in real, everyday language. I deeply believe everyone has the right to understand the definitions being used about them or their child, allowing you to choose the framing that fits your family best.

This space is about understanding, not clinical correction. Clarity, not systemic pressure. Practical support, not labels. I hope that at least one word here helps your family feel a little less alone.
